It reminds me of a character from a David Lynch film.. Sailoresque and Wild at Heart
or maybe 'Twin Peaks' or 'From Dusk 'til Dawn.' or especially Bob Mitchum in the scary film noir "The Night of the Hunter" where Mr. Bob goes a chasin' after two young orphans who have their Fathers stolen bankroll hidden inside a childs ragdoll.

The chase takes them thru' the deep South during the civil war.This film was Charles Laughton's only trip into directing..

It is a CLASSIC and for 1955 at least 20 years ahead of it's time.Dealing as it does with taboo subjects such as Incest rape and murder.
